Andrew Smith is English although he was born in New York and lived in California until he was in his early teens. He has written for the Melody Maker, the Face, the Sunday Times, and the Observer where he has written on the KLF, death row, Damien Hirst, Jeff Bezos, Bianca Jagger and much much more. He currently lives in Norfolk. Andrew’s short stories have been published in various magazines. For first book, Moondust: In Search of the Men who Fell to Earth, published in 2005, he tracked down all of the men who have walked on the moon. He has recently been plagued by the same injury that frustrated Wayne Rooney during the 2006 World Cup, but continues to make outings in the Norwich Veteran’s League.

Andrew Smith collabora con la cattedra di Psicologia degli Atteggiamenti e delle Opinioni dell'Università "La Sapienza". Nel quadro dell'European PhD on Social Representations and Communication, coordinato dall'Università "La Sapienza", completa una ricerca di dottorato sulla natura paradossale delle rappresentazioni sociali. È stato Marie Curie Fellow presso il Dipartimento di Psicologia Sociale della London School of Economics, ed è autore di articoli riguardanti le minoranze attive e la comunicazione persuasiva.
